Know me

My real name is Maria, but all people know me as Mei, I was born at 1983 in Palma de Mallorca (Baleares – Spain), and I become to do cosplay at 2002 with Video Girl Ai cosplay, since this time, I did make a lot of cosplays, allways maked by me, with a little help of family and friends.

I love cosplay, and in 2005 I decided to make my cosplays more better, and create this web site with a photoshoots of my cosplays.

My other hobbies are, Super Dollfies (I have 4), Arabic dance, Draw, Photography, Manga, anime, …

I’m a profesional Photograph and clothes’ designer, but now I will work like Nurse assistant.

For me, cosplay, is more that hobbie, is my lifestyle.

During my cosplayer carrer, I had a lot of couples or groups of cosplay, but the most importante… is my boyfriend Niko that made the cosplay more than a hobbies or lifestyle for me, he teached me to enjoy at 200% the time planning, making and wearing the cosplays.

I met Niko in Barcelona 2002, when I weared the Totoro’s cosplay, he is a big fan of the movie “Tonari no Totoro”, and when he saw me, he ran to hugged me, and said…  -Niko: “I don’t know if you are a boy or a girl, but… I LOVE YOU!!!!”

Since this moment, we started a friendship, and we went to some conventions of Manga together, but not wearing cosplay together.

Few years later, he became to be my boyfriend, and we became to were a cosplay couple.

We have done cosplay together for a long time, we have attended events and participated in many competitions, we won awards in some contests, the most important are:

Spanish representatives at WCS 2008 (Final costume from Shojo Kakumei Utena) and WCS 2011 (Final costume from Romeo x Juliet)

After the contest, WCS 2011, we began a tour of Japan, and we visited many places like Nagoya, Tokyo, Nikko, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Osaka, Nara and Kyoto, where we visited the Fushimi Inari Shrine, known for appearing in the movie “Memoirs of a Geisha. “There, we climbed the mountain through the Torii’s tunnel, and on top, with the sunset background, Nico knelt with a ring in his hand and asked me to marry him   ^/////////^

… Now we’ll always be together sharing the hobby.
